Raymond Lee Parcell, Jr. and Bonnie June Burris were married on April 11, 1943 by H. E. Trimble, in Centerville, Appanoose County, Iowa.
On June 30, 1942, Raymond filled out a World War II Draft Registration Card. The Registration Place was Iowa for the Conflict Period, World War II. According to the information he provided, his employer was the Red Cross Drug Company. A Registrar's Report was also completed showing Raymond weighed 140 pounds and was 6 feet tall. He had a light complexion, his eye color was blue and his hair color brown. Obvious physical characteristics to aid in identification shows "scar on right side of nose".
Enlisted in the reserves. Was in training as a flight instructor for new cadets. After B-17 mechanics school, he went to the European Theatre. Colorblindness prevented him from obtaining a military pilot's rating. Flew sorties over Northern Italy, Austria and Germany. Served with the 15th Air Force of the Army in Italy. Lee was stationed near Foggia, flying 16 combat missions. According to his WWII Bonus Case File, Lee served in the following military organizations: 2nd Air Force Training Groups, 15th Air Force 301 at Bomb Group 32nd Squadron, 3541 Army Air Force Base Unit.
Lee was a Minister with congregational churches in Iowa, Connecticut, and Massachusetts.
After Bonnie's death in December, 1982, Lee married Lillian Belyeu on February 2, 1985 in Quincy, Gadsen County, Florida. He remained in Florida until his death.
Lee died on Saturday, April 6, 1996 of Metastatic Prostate Cancer in Quincy, Florida. He is buried at Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen, Massachusetts.
Lee discovered that originally Parcel had two Ls, then added "L" to his name.
